Vin Frederickson is the author and illustrator of Eversteel, a sweeping science-fantasy saga about family, friendship, sacrifice, courage, and hope in the face of impossible odds.

A lifelong fan of fantasy and science fiction, Vin has always been drawn to storytelling in all its forms. Eversteel grew from that love of writing, art, worldbuilding, and the desire to create characters and places that feel larger than life, yet deeply human.

Away from the page, Vin provides pediatric eye care, a profession that has given him the privilege of working with children and families every day. That experience—and life with his own wife and two daughters—has only deepened his belief in resilience, possibility, and the importance of leaving the world a little brighter than we found it.

That same belief lies at the heart of Eversteel:

Even in the darkest places, there’s always hope.

Vin lives in California with his family, where he continues to write, illustrate, and expand the world of Eversteel—while making time for music, movies, travel, SCUBA diving, and the many other things that keep imagination alive.
