Koraa survives the destruction of Taluka after her father, Ras, sacrifices himself so she can escape Sytheclaw’s assault. She and her mother, Hata, help lead the surviving Talukans into the Hopeless Sands, where the people abandon wealth and rebuild a modest existence.
Inspired by stories of Thomrick’s victory over Longtooth, Koraa travels to Cinfeld Heights seeking his help reclaiming Taluka. Thomrick promises aid only after securing his own city, a delay Koraa interprets as abandonment. Her frustration deepens when Celar Piesta later arrives in the sands, attempts to purchase her hand, and ultimately uses force when the Talukans refuse.
Years later, Koraa reemerges as the Transmuter. Armed with fragments tied to the Eight, she exacts revenge on Piesta, attacks Radiant Hills, and pursues her own vision of justice with increasingly destructive methods.
