Physical Description
A towering black dragon wrapped in a dense veil of shadow and vapor, Seylaak often appears less like a solid creature than a living absence of light. Dark red eyes burn through the obscurity, while black spiraling horns pierce the mist above rows of sword-like teeth. Enormous bat-like wings unfold from his shadowed form, and his features seem to blur within the surrounding darkness. When he speaks, several voices resonate together from within the vapor, lending him an eerie, otherworldly presence.

Seylaak is one of the Eight and the progenitor of the shadowrunners. His breath gave rise to the children of shadow, while a separate fallen shadow dragon’s core was said to have spawned the Shadowlands themselves. Ages later, Seylaak rejoined his siblings at the Great Lair, where he investigated the theft of fragments from the Cavern of Breath and revealed the truth of Xatall’s defeat and shame. He took obvious delight in recounting the Red Dragon’s failure and showed immediate interest when Illuumn revealed that a crafter carried a fragment of shadow tied to his twin sister.
