Annla Portrait.png

Physical Description

A petite woman with deep mahogany eyes, straight glossy ebony hair, a warm smile, and an easy, hearty laugh. As queen, Annla carries herself with graceful confidence, often dressed in elegant rose-colored clothing and a jeweled tiara. Her appearance reflects both dignity and approachability rather than severity.

Abilities / Skills

Annla is not primarily defined by combat or craft, but she is highly capable socially and emotionally. Before becoming queen, she worked at Fair Bell’s Market and was accustomed to managing customers and a demanding workload at a rapid pace. As queen, she demonstrates strong judgment, diplomacy, empathy, and an ability to understand motivations that others overlook. She also possesses enough independence and resourcefulness to work around Thomrick when she believes his decisions put Bengent at unnecessary risk.

Annla

Personality

Warm, compassionate, perceptive, protective, independent-minded, and emotionally intelligent. Annla understands both Thomrick’s strengths and his flaws and often serves as the family member most capable of interpreting one to another. She recognizes Bengent’s sensitivity as a strength rather than a weakness and consistently encourages his creativity, kindness, and individuality. She is gentle by nature but not submissive; when she believes Thomrick is wrong, particularly where Bengent’s safety is concerned, she challenges him directly.

History / lore

Before becoming Queen of Cinfeld Heights, Annla worked at Fair Bell’s Market. Thomrick encountered her after becoming king while deliberately walking among the people to better understand ordinary life in his kingdom. Their interaction began humbly, with Thomrick discovering that despite being king, he did not even have the two irons needed to pay for what she sold him.

Annla eventually became Thomrick’s wife and queen, serving as a stabilizing presence within the Eversteel family. Where Thomrick emphasizes duty, discipline, and responsibility, Annla continually reminds their children that compassion, creativity, and sensitivity are equally important.

Her protectiveness toward Bengent becomes especially important before his Trials of Ascension. Alarmed that he will travel without a bonded shadowrunner, she repeatedly argues for additional protection and ultimately takes matters into her own hands by maintaining contact with Pin Drop despite Thomrick’s objections.
