Physical Description
A rugged, broad-framed man with dark ebony hair, Anodon is first seen dressed in heavy leather and thick fur while working alone high on the silver mountain. He carries himself with the toughness of someone accustomed to climbing, foraging, forging, and surviving in harsh terrain.
Abilities / Skills
Anodon is an accomplished climber, woodsman, explorer, and craftsman with an unusual aptitude for understanding materials. He discovers the properties of the silver ore that will become Eversteel and devotes his life to finding a way to forge it. He is also a capable strategist and leader, using his alliance with the shadowrunners to help drive the mountain brutes from what would become Eversteel Keep.
Anodon
Personality
Anodon is curious, determined, compassionate, resourceful, and relentlessly inventive. His fascination with the strange silver ore drives him to study it obsessively, but his defining quality is mercy. When a shadowrunner lies helpless before him, Anodon refuses to kill it, reasoning that taking a defenseless life would make his people no better than the dragons they feared. That act of compassion ultimately changes the fate of his family.
History / lore
Born among the Eversteels of a modest settlement deep within the Abru Forest, Anodon became fascinated by the mysterious silver mountain and the nearly indestructible ore covering its slopes. After repeatedly exploring the mountain, he gathered pieces of the metal and dedicated himself to discovering how it might be forged.
His life changed when a shadowrunner attacked his son, Cinfeld. When the creature was subdued and begged for mercy, Anodon spared it. The shadowrunner responded by binding itself to him and leading Anodon to the Shadowlands, where other shadowrunners were inspired by his compassion and agreed to aid the Eversteels.
With their help, Anodon and the people of Abru drove the mountain brutes from their fortress and claimed what would become Eversteel Keep. He named the mountain Cinfeld Heights after his son and continued his pursuit of forging the silver ore into the legendary metal that would bear his family’s name. His obsession with that work ultimately cost him his life.
